Hi LUGers.
Final check tonight and I found that Rocky Linux 8.5 has been
released which may be of special interest to some members and
which is another replacement for the soon to be discontinued
CentOS, in other words compiled from Red Hat upstream sources
It comes in 3 sizes for x86, from full size about 10 GB, minimal
at 2 GB and boot iso of 789 MB.
All this and more is accessible at distrowatch.com including
checksums and package list.
This will be important to a great many organizations formerly
running CentOS and to users because these organization include
the servers which pretend to be clouds and where people are
storing backups as well as ISPs.
