Hi LUGers,
Well the Enterprise Linux systems and their substitutes are
coming out.
At Distrowatch we see the announcement of
Distribution Release: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.5 with links
to their shop. I think you can try it out for 30 days
before you
subscribe to their support service.
You know i presume that CentOS which was compiled from
the RH
upstream sources is going out of business due to the IBM
ownership
one assumes.
NEW • Distribution Release: AlmaLinux OS 8.5
is one of several which are attempting to replace CentOS
And another that is for business/organization needing a switchwitch!

Lakka is a lightweight Linux distribution that transforms a small
computer into a
full blown game console. The distribution is based on LibreELEC and
runs the
RetroArch console emulator. Lakka is capable of running on a variety of
hardware,
including personal computers, Raspberry Pi boards and WeTek Play devices.
Unless we want to go into the nonsense called Windows 11 that is
the best news I can find so far, but if you try to run that on a system
not set up for it, it will tell you to reinstall Windows 10. Perversity!
bliss aka Bobbie Sellers brought to you by the power and ease of
PCLinuxOS
and a minor case of Hypergraphia
