I've been underwhelmed by Purism's products.  All of them.  Lots of 
sizzle, majorly short on steak.

The PinePhone, for one, is in many ways better and a _lot_ cheaper --
and better at being a truly open design, which is Purism's alleged
strength, at which they kind of suck.

The problem with the motto "You get what you pay for" is that it's 
terribly misleading.  _Some_ times, and at _most_, you get what you pay
for.  (Paying more doesn't necessarily buy better.  That's just lazy
thinking.)
