Hi LUGers,

   SF-LUG meets every third Monday from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
and  every first Sunday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
at the Cafe Enchante, 26th and Geary Boulevard.

These meetings are usually lightly attended with a high for the
year so far of 7 members.   If you have a problem come along
and maybe we can help but if not we can usually find someone
who can.

   Added to the distribution library:
   As of November 5.
Parrot-home-4.3_i386.iso  1.7 GB

Parrot-security-4.3_amd64.iso 3.7 GB

Parrot-variant-kde-4.3_amd64.iso 1.7 GB
If anyone wants another version such as the full 386 version
or the net installs.let me know ASAP.
This variant KDE version is very nice.  The live disk background
is a marvelous mosaic image, it has the latest version of a network
connection tool that come right up and asks for the Cafe Enchante
(if that is your chosen)password.

On all of these disks the user name is "user" and the password is
"toor".

super_grub2_disk_x86_64_efi_2.02s10.iso
Boot from any functional install, via CD drive.

Fedora-KDE-Live-x86_64-29-1.2.iso   KDE Plasma 5 spin.
Has been written to a Flash Drive for testing.
Tuesday Nov. 6  I wonder if this KDE Fedora Spin will
be continued now that Red Hat has decided to drop
support for KDE.

       ==================================

CAINE <https://distrowatch.com/caine> (which stands for Computer Aided
INvestigative Environment),
an Ubuntu-based distribution with a collection of utilities for forensics
and incident response. Version 10.0 is based on Ubuntu 18.04.
You can read all about it at:
CAINE Live USB/DVD - computer forensics d

Caine 10.0 "Infinity" was written to a USB Flash Drive for
testing and demonstration purposes. Saturday 10 November
Tested on the Dell E6540 and very nice distribution using
Mate.  As with most Ubuntu products the kernel is a bit
behind the cutting edge,  Otherwise if you chose to install
it to the hard disk you should have a good general distribution
along with more forensic tools than you can shake a memory
stick at.

     ==================================

Well that is it to date.
If anything interesting shows up I will followup to this post to
inform the members who might show up.

Hope to see a few of us next Monday Nov. 19.
