I was using the Netgear 54Mbsp Wireless ADSL Modem Router DG834G v3
on a filtered line from a POTS with connections to the current Dell
E6520, the
Epson Printer with a USB connected Scanner and Copier.
Absurdly over-featured" not to the the consumer level user or
people with
space and even shelf space limitations.
Is repair of this device possible?

I am now using  behind the Seimens Speedstream 4100 ADSL Ethernet
Modem to the Netgear Wireless-G Router WGR614v10 for which I
was offered a firmware update as soon I logged onto the configuration
pages and which I accepted. So far it is connected only to the computer
though if I have the energy today I may connect the printer and test the
  wireless with my tablet.

Then I was sold what purported to be a ATT 7550 modem but which is
in fact a (weak) wireless ADSL router with Broadband/DSL connector which
must go to a modem and which also has ethernet ports.

The best thing about the WGR614 v10 is that it has an external switch
to turn off the wireless.

Now I had planned for the failure of these devices but the devices
I had
in my hoard did not work so they were donated to the Goodwill which
may have some use for them and which(Goodwill) are a designated electronic
equipment recycling center.

     Have a good day.
