Are you referring to your Dell as not 'exposed to the Internet' merely
because it's 'behind a router'?  In that case, it's still going to be
exposed to the Internet.  The only way you can reasonably claim it's not
is if you keep it airgapped at all times, and never run any code
transported to it on optical disks or USB flash drives for any reason.
If you do _those_ things, then it is exposed to the Internet because the
machines that created them are.
