It's not a big thing, but, unless there's some aspect in which
test at linuxmafia.com differs substantively from this mailing list, 
it seems likely you could have done the same test there.  (The lists
would not be fungible for testing purposes if, e.g., you had some reason
to think this mailing list had a broken configuration but the other did
not.)

FWIW, I keep test at linuxmafia.com at Mailman default configuration, 
so that it's a deliberately generic test bed.

Seems to me you could have done the same test on test at linuxmafia.com by
subscribing to it and posting there.  Maybe I'm missing something.
