If memory serves, I was in the middle of attempting to help Jon Lam with
Round One of Two of his laptop question, the one where he asked about a
gamer-focussed product line, and you blundered in to claim (variously)
that I'm a free-software zealot and hard-set against proprietary
software (nothing even remotely like what I said), that I'm disregarding
the attraction of problem-solving, that nouveau is so bad compared to
the Nvidia proprietary drivers that the user ought to just ignore the
Nvidia GPU and use the Intel one, that the cutting edge of hardware is a
fun place to be (and avoiding said cutting edge 'wouldn't be much fun'),
that unlike me some Linux users enjoy 'having new technologies to work
with', and that I wasn't being 'factual'.
I asked you to kindly help the community by stating what would be
'factual' that was incorrect in what I'd written -- and you blew that
off. I corrected your suggestion that I fail to appreciate 'having new
technologies' (not implied by anything I said), I corrected your hapless
blunder about me supposedly opposing proprietary software, and
reiterated that I merely favour computer hardware that doesn't hassle me
and doesn't require proprietary drivers.
In other words, I merely debunked your bullshit.
_And_ you didn't do fsck-all for Jon Lam, I cannot help noticing.
Instead, you spent all your time gnawing at my ankles.
> I don't owe you an apology....
Do you go around in public calling strangers 'zealots' in error _every_
day, then, or is today special?
Fine, go take your tu-quoque ball and play somewhere else, little man.
We're done.
