[sf-lug] SF-LUG meeting of April 18, 2018 report.

Hi LUGers,
     I arrived about 5:45 PM and began to setup
my equipment,  as I mentioned I booted into my PCLinux OS 2016.03.
      Only had to add the local pre-shared password to get online.

     The menus are a bit jittery on the PCLOS but I am managing
to get work done.

What work you might ask?
I did the updates for the day, remember that with a rolling release
that is a frequent chore.  I also wrote up these notes in Kwrite.

     Well I zipped up my /.thunderbird directory last night and this 
evening
opened it on the PCLOS /home directory and that move worked perfectly
but it had missed the mail I had received since the zip so I had to deal
with that.

6:30 PM no one else here so far.

I tried to do the updates on the Mageia 6dev1 running in
the Virtual Box but it does not recognise my WiFi card.
Read a bit of VB documentation but I see nothing about
it so far.

7:10 Joseph Puig showed up.  Hooray!
     He is fairly disenchanted with Noisebridge and with lack
of attendance. I sympathize as I have spent many meetings
here with a similar lack of attendance.  But at least
the Cafe Enchante servers are happy to see me.  Joseph
encounters considerable ignoring from the Noisebridge
crowd.  That is they ignore his knocking at the door.

     A brief demo of the Knoppix 7.7 was given to Joseph.

     7:50 PM Packed up the computer et al.
     8 PM we were at the Geary Street bus stop!

     And that my report of the meeting.

     Next meeting will be on Sunday May 1, 2016.
     You should see a notice of that meeting posted to the mailing
list next week.
