Of the five major vendors shown, only Emperor Linux and Purism offer
laptops that weigh three pounds, no one offers one weighing less. There are
other options out there, but you need to load it yourself. Linux Foundation
has a webpage up about how to repurpose a ChromeBook, which they use in
their Linux SysAdmin classes. I do not carry the brick I bought from
Zareason around at all.
