Hi Team,

I showed up at 10:30 AM and the same
keyboard problems assaulted me again but
this
time my desultory attempts to fix it worked.

11:05 Ken and his wife showed up.

11:10 Yuz, a visitor showed up. He
has been involved with Linux since 1995 He
seems to be involved with Canonical and
Hardened Ubuntu. Yuz had to leave shortly
as he was picking up a child from Sunday
school.
11:15 Maestro showed up He is
having problems with booting from media
whether disks or USB Flash drive so Ken
began to consult with him.

     Jim S.here by 11:40.
I managed to boot and run a new
rescue distribution, sparkylinux-4.1-
rc-x86_64-rescue.iso. Now this is a
Release Candidate and looks pretty
good with monochrome theme and
popup access to the menus which
are filled with useful tools.

So this was a pretty quiet meeting
but we have those especially on holiday
weekends.
I did forget the current Linux
Pro magazine which I thought had been
put in the bag but which I found at home
practically as soon as I looked. It now
resides in the bag until after the next
meeting which will be on Monday
September 21 at Cafe Enchante.

I Intend to have the regular
announcement out around the 14th
with a couple of interesting disks
including the compact 4MLinux-13.1
which is small enough for a CD.
The other is the ultimate-edition-4.6
-x64-gamers.iso which is fills up a
DVD. Maybe more about these before
September 21.

     If any attending person has
correction or emendations please
do so.

     Bobbie Sellers
