[Fri 2015-01-23 09:39:20 PM PST] <pleia2> I was going to wait until I heard more, but it's public information and important to pass along
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:39:23 PM PST] <pleia2> eps has passed away
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:39:47 PM PST] <pleia2> a couple folks have written about it in the other communities he's part of

[Fri 2015-01-23 09:41:31 PM PST] <pleia2> this is very hard for me, I need some time, but I'll be at BerkeleyLUG on Sunday
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:42:34 PM PST] <nhaines> The one thing that stood out to me about eps was that he was very reliable. Always helped out at SCALE and was so reliable as to almost be easy to take for granted.
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:42:49 PM PST] <nhaines> This is certainly a big loss to the communities he was in.
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:42:53 PM PST] * pleia2 nods
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:46:48 PM PST] <pleia2> oh gosh, now I have to go clean the pasta cooker he got for me when he learned I didn't cook :(
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:47:09 PM PST] <pleia2> it goes in the microwave, pretty much the best thing ever
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:47:47 PM PST] <nhaines> I was just pondering his recipe for mac & cheese.
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:49:04 PM PST] <pleia2> I enjoyed some good pasta tonight thanks to that cooker
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:49:25 PM PST] <pleia2> aaand I'm too upset to computer anymore, night all
[Fri 2015-01-23 09:51:43 PM PST] <nhaines> Good night, pleia2.

After seeing the above, I spoke by phone with mutual friend Karil
Daniels, and the only memorial she is aware of is being organized by Ron
Hipschman of the Exploratorium. I then called him up, and it will be at
Pasquale's Pizzeria at 8th & Irving on an as yet undecided date. You may
RSVP to him at ronh at exploratorium.edu.
