Oh yes, and not only of the technological variety!
Which Windows (8.x?, 7?,...)? You supply the license/media or they supply?
Which programs (Office, Project, which Office, etc. whose...)?
Who installs? If not you, will they accept the VM? What else will they
put
on if you're not the installer)?
Does the Windows EULA allow virtualization? (XP does, not sure after
that).
Are you SURE (like IN WRITING sure) that your office is OK with this?
Why should
they care you ask? Google BSA (or BSA Thugs or BSA audit, and no, not the
Boy Scouts).
How would they handle the threat of a BSA audit (given that the timing is
totally
under BSA's control)?

I have seen licensing issues cost good people their jobs.

Could the necessary programs run under Wine or be substituted
(LibreOffice/OpenOffice)?
Could you use the remote access to a Windows machine to satisfy the
requirement?
Hey, swapping disks is not that hard, and even that may be avoided with a
DVD disk
holder caddy which is only $10-$30 (plus the Windows disk of course).

Many traps, do be careful.
Ken
