I can report that the gentleman in San Jose who sold me the IBM T42 this
morning appears to be a keeper. He buys thinkpads wholesale in lot
quantities and works on them as a hobby. He has serviced and sold a hundred
since october. He has the following T42 options available:

1.5 MHz, 1 Gig memory for 200
1.7 MHz, 1 Gig memory, 40 G hdd for 240
1.7 MHz, 1 Gig memory 80 G hdd for 260
for 1.5 Gig memory add 20 dollars

He warrantees the laptops for 30 days.

There are no DVD read and write built-in drives for the Txx laptops. It's a
CD-rw and DVD read drive.
