Bad disk performance and filesystem fragility. Naive users will (at
minimum) walk away thinking "Wow, Linux is really slow."
If that doesn't bother you, go for it. Me, I'd give your friend a live
CD, instead. At least, then it's _obvious_ that disk access is going to
be slow (since disk = the CD or DVD).
