Wow, interesting. Appears to be a relatively new, additional feature of
the Cyrus IMAPd.
There have always been a bunch of things about Cyrus IMAPd that left me
a bit cold: It has a rather weird database-like message store, so all
mailbox access must be by IMAP/POP3/KPOP (no direct local reads) and it has
its own authentication database. So, it's sort of a blackbox mail
appliance, rather than being a modular mail tool in the regular Unix
style -- but it's a respectable approach if you need to scale and don't
mind the sealed-box design.
