    well..., the industry i was referring to is the "computer
industry" in all its extended forms. the industry portrayed
in the link is the music industry, something i also know
somewhat. the portrayal is very good, though only
tangentially relating to linux: a la ogg vorbis, digital
rights m*, and "intellectual property" issues.
    it's not nearly as long as its scroll bar indicates: most
of the page is readers' comments.
    the recommendations of the author seem very good
and should apply to any arts, not just music. the writers'
strike in the news is a propos.
