My only experience with touchscreens is looking to do the same thing and finding out that touchscreens are extremely expensive on anything over 19" (I know not any help to your situation) I have watched a few youtube videos on how to set them up under Linux though. I would search touchscreen and linux on youtube and there are a ton of videos about it.

Subject: [sf-lug] touchscreens
Does anyone have direct experience using touchscreens with Linux? If so, what were your experiences?
I've been considering adding a kiosk type deal to my home network, where you could see weather, news, eventually maybe do some home automation type stuff. I'm just at the exploratory state, so any input would be desirable.
Regards,
Nathan
