Hi:

Regarding the scattering of posts regarding keyboard settings and key 
placements (CAPS LOCK, CTRL, etc.), the Ubuntu (Feisty) repositories contain 
a Gnome program, "keytouch".

keytouch includes profiles for a variety of manufacturers and layouts. I was 
able to find my specific Logitech Cordless keyboard in keytouch, which in 
turn enabled my keyboard's various supplemental buttons and controls...
