[sf-lug] adobe flash player Netscape/Mozilla type plugin

I'm able to download flashplugin-nonfree on an Ubuntu machine and with
it I can see video clips.

But I can't get functionality to see internet video clips (the Daily
Show for example) using Debian or Vector (the latter just installed on
the advise of Christian.)

Does anyone have any hints as to what I should be looking for?
