Except that they leave out the GNU. Heh. Poor Richard.

This is great. We have reached a minor digital tipping point today, as
Larry Magid covered the state of free open source software on Dell computers
in the New York Times today. This is an opportunity for us to reach out to
the newbies in our lives and show them that Linux is gaining mainstream
acceptance. The article does say that some aspects of Linux use are still
kinda difficult for newbies, but the article also says that many of the most
ordinary uses, Linux is newbie-friendly.

I would like to encourage you to send links to this story to newbies in your
life. I'm sure that many of us already talk up FOSS quite a bit; but maybe
now would be a time to send this link to a newbie to who you had not yet
tried to demo Linux, or that newbie who is saying that he / she will try GNU
Linux when it is mainstream.
