Once upon a time, I used to track WordPerfect / .wpd status on Linux:

It's now five years out of date, but the main changes are probably:
1.  OOo's .wpd filter has been merged into the mainline code and now
works well, and 2.  WP for Linux is now damned near impossible to make
function with modern distro libraries.

Hmm, looks like LDP actually never implemented my most recent update, so
the FAQ is actually not _quite_ that outdated.  Most recent update here:
