I installed Kubuntu on my wife's IBM Thinkpad X41 tablet PC, and our
housemate runs Xubuntu on his Toshiba tablet PC.

Various degrees of success with stuff like auto rotation, stylus sense
rotation (that is, have the stylus keep working right after rotating the
screen), on-screen keyboard/handwriting recognition, etc.

It's possible, but won't be a perfect experience.

Of course, my wife also played around with WinXP that came on her Thinkpad,
and it was (un?)surprisingly pretty broken, too. :)
