[sf-lug] loading a .xls file in OO

thanks to Riley VanDyke who showed up at today's
meeting at the Javacat:
    Christian, try loading the .xls file, wait patiently till it's
loaded, then save in OO native format. Then open the
saved file and see how long it takes to load.

a member also at the meeting may be willing to help
rewrite the app using a database: he claims it can be
simple to do: head nodding all around at this
suggestion as it's the "right thing to do".
