<div>Hi Mike,</div><div><br></div><div>thanks for your answer to my call.</div><div>what I got your explanation is that Ubuntu (I personally use LinuxMint (LM), since LM is based on Ubuntu, it should be OK), in that case it can save me from the constant with my OS acting, of the likes of moving the cursor at will, even after it is inactive. But the Boot misery will persist. <br></div><div>I wish someone can tell me how to remove the Microsoft crap -100KB partition in from, that is created every time and as many of those as time you make an image of the OS.</div><div>Don't suggest to use Gparted, it does not do the job, all it does show the those 100 KB partitions.</div><div>Couple of years ago, <span></span>I saw a guy doing it from terminal, he managed to remove those partitions but he did not make joined to the rest of the drive, so it was waste of resources.</div><div>Thanks again,</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

But some distributions may not offer<br></div><div dir="ltr">that, or what they do easily offer in the way of encryption is<br></div><div dir="ltr">more like "just" the user's HOME directory (e.g. Ubuntu ... though I think<br></div><div dir="ltr">Ubuntu also has options to do much more encryption ... but they may not<br></div><div dir="ltr">be nearly so readily available at install time with just a basic (near)<br></div><div dir="ltr">default installation.) With Ubuntu (and possibly others too), may need to<br></div><div dir="ltr">select "advanced" options, or use the alternative installer.
