i thought i might recommend a book i'm listening to currently - "Underground: Tales of hacking, madness and obsession on the electronic frontier".

the book, by Suelette Dreyfus, with research by the then-not-so-well-known Julian Assange, tells the history of the hacking scene when it began in the late 80s'. although this is a documentary, it is a high-edge book. The first episodes about the NASA worm are a fast paced, highly interesting and informative, and the story of Par-master can easily be adapted to an action movie. I have not finished yet, but wanted to spread the word. Important to note that i am not affiliated with the book, writers or any aspect other than a reader (or rather - a listener).

the book's site is http://www.underground-book.com/hacker-products/the-underground-book/underground-tales-of.htm, but you can get a free, synthesized-female-voice audio version at the Lotta Linux Links site, here. the synthetic voice is not too bad, and maybe even adds to the overall sensation. As i said, i am having a hard time putting the ear buds out...
