I'm driving down on Thursday morning.  (Lots of passenger and luggage
room, if you want to ride along.)  Driving back after the KEN THOMPSON
keynote on Sunday.

If, on the other hand, you elected to fly instead, to, dunno, I guess
Hollywood Burbank Airport (IATA: BUR) a couple of dozen miles away, 
you might have made the smarter choice, as my drives seem likely to 
face a serious case of winter weather (wind, rain, dodging falling
trees, Tejon Pass snow closures...).

BUR (sometimes yclept "Bob Hope Airport") is a cute little airport.  I
almost tucked it into my carry-on bag and misplaced it, last time I was
there.  It really only has one terminal building, but they refer to it
as comprising Terminal A and Terminal B, so that its feelings don't get
hurt.  (14 gates.  Collect the whole set.)
