Thinking like a politician for a moment..

Kids don't vote, so they don't directly matter.

Parent's don't go to school any more, so they're fairly distant.

The problem becomes the kids staying home driving voting parents insane.

Keeping kids entertained seems to be the need, and civilization has
only considered the daycare that is school. I'd guess this is the
frontier problem to solve.

I've directly talked with hundreds of youths, and the stress has led to
anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts and attempts. They're
fumbling through faux virtual-relationships and are also really
screwing themselves up on that front; especially girls.

I know of one (1), have heard of another and have read a tentative study
in the UK suggesting spontaneous development of diagnosed Tourette's.
It's something like triple or more the diagnoses now, but what's
worrying is the combination of age and gender; this is primarily
diagnosed in very young boys but it's been appearing in teenage girls
right around lockdown. It's as though female social skills has made
them so high functioning that it's suppressed tics, and the event has
brought it out beginning with "anxiety tics" and perhaps made it
permanent.

Youths are now amassing online and creating a kind of synchronicity
of problems; it's horrifying. There is a normalization of a misuse of
terms, self-diagnoses, some sort of virtue-signaling admissions, etc.

Children with poor social skills before age 5 will be problematic in
the direction of psychopathy, perhaps permanently. This has been
observed in psychology since before lockdown.
