  Tired of tasteless tomatoes and other vegetables that just won't grow in
  your area? The UC Master Gardeners of San Mateo and San Francisco
  Counties are holding their public Spring Garden Market and Education
  Fair featuring a large variety of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs,
  and other plants that have been selected and grown just for the San
  Francisco and SF Peninsula climate zone. In addition to plants, there
  will be free demonstrations and workshops, presentations and displays,
  and Master Gardeners will be available throughout the day to answer any
  questions. Funds raised will be used to purchase material and supplies
  for future training and workshops that will be free to the public.

The _Santa Clara County_ UC Master Gardeners had, in the Before Times,
as massive sale in early April in San Jose, and traditionally also 
another in Gilroy.  That sale has been cancelled yet again for 2022, 
but they promise it'll be back in 2023.

FYI:  I maintain a modest page for local gardeners, with a particular
focus on having a calendar listing all the local gardening clubs' spring
sale of vegatables and other plants.
