Hi ho! Seeing that the world is falling apart, the sky is the
colour of a dead television channel, and the air is barely breathable,
let's get together on Jitsi Meet!

CABAL Virual Edition: Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, 4pm - 8pm Pacific
Daylight Time.[1]

Where? Here, via videoconferencing: http://meet.jit.si/cabal

You will need:

o Computer w/supported Web browser. Best results reported with:
      o Chromium
      o Chrome
      o Microsoft Edge v. 79.0.309 or later
o (some others, e.g., Firefox, might work but are not guaranteed)

o A computer with mic and speakers/headphones. Headphones/earbuds
are recommended (because they avert audio feeback loops).

Upon joining @ that URL, your browser will probably ask if the page
may have permission to connect to your microphone and speaker. Say yes.

If you haven't done computer videoconferencing before:

o You can check your setup for problems at https://test.webrtc.org/ .
(Don't worry about minor bobbles like 'Reflexive connectivity'
   getting dinged.)

o You might want to show up 15 minutes early, to thrash out problems.
(Problems are common during first-time videoconferencing.)

I will have fresh garlic bread and other home cooking. You probably won't,
unless you're in my household, but, hey, that's the year 2020 for you.
I expect we'll continue with 2nd Saturday 4-8 pm online CABAL meetings
for the duration of the Martian Death Flu.

When will reality get restored? Haha. "Der mentsh trakht un got lakht."

I will promise with extreme insincerity to give a prize to the farthest
flung videoconfercing participant. Astronauts calling from the ISS
will automatically win.

[1] If not in the Pacific Daylight Time time zone, check using
https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/ Or try something lik this Bourne shell
recipe (tested on Debian):

:r! grep worldclock .bashrc
    alias worldclock='zdump America/{Los_Angeles,Mexico_City,New_York,Sao_Paulo} Europe/{London,Berlin,Moscow} Asia/Calcutta PRC Japan Australia/{Perth,Melbourne}'

Cheers, "My hot flight attendant asked how I like my coffee.
Rick Moen And that's when she told me: 'That's cute, honey, but
rick at linuxmafia.com the coffee's free. You don't have to pay for it, here."
McQ! (4x80) (seen on Twitter)
