Hey, fellow Californians! Today, Oct. 19, 2020 is the deadline for

o registering to vote
o changing/fixing your voter registration

...prior to the November 3rd General Election. Even if you think
everything is _great_ with your registration, now is exactly the right
time to check. Start here:

https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/

Fill in the Web form, and hit the big button to do lookup. I get:

  [...]
Your preferred language to receive election material is ENGLISH
Address where you are registered to vote 1105 ALTSCHUL AVE
                                           MENLO PARK 94025
Your political party preference is DEMOCRATIC
You are registered as a permanent vote-by-mail voter NO

_Look carefully_ at what it says (for you). Make sure your
address and party preference are correct.

If not, fix it right away, at http://registertovote.ca.gov/ .

It's important that you sign your ballot envelope with the same form of
your name you used to register to vote. E.g., if you registered to vote
as 'Rufus T. Firefly', do _not_ sign your ballot envelope 'Rufus
Tiberius Firefly', or your ballot will be rejected. (If you're not sure
how you signed your voter registration, that would be an excellent
reason to go down to your county voter office and re-register TODAY.

Californians who miss the state's voter registration deadline can still
show up at a Voting Center as late as Election Day and do 'conditional
registration' and cast a provisional ballot.
