I hear GM wants to make vents too.
I wonder how long it would take GM to retool a car plant to make vents?

So Tesla REALLY shipped 1000 vents already?
Thats not hype?

Can you REALLY 3dprint N95 masks?
Is printing them REALLY faster?

Rick chided me for not being up on the math on this thing.
I was off to a slow start.
Im seeing some huge disagreements on the numbers which shakes my confidence
in any of the numbers.
One of the graphics on the news seems to be off by 1000 for CA & WA (did
they miss last nights updates?
I believe the 2300 number over the 1900 number.

If I have some bad numbers, how about telling me about it without ripping
peoples heads off?
We are better than the Deadbeat in Chief, I prefer to think.

Presuming that my current numbers are any good,
New York seems to have doubled over the weekend 10 to 20 thousand.
At this point, NY seems to have half the cases.
I was surprised that New Jersey zipped past CA & WA in the last 24 hrs with
2800
CA & WA seem to be in a tie near 2300
This is one of the few times that dropping from 3rd to 4th is a good thing.

Im also intrigued about the CA & WA numbers.
Are we simply catching up to WA?
Or is the WA curve flattening faster than ours.
Regrettably, I dont have enough numbers to answer this.

Is a little disturbing to get so fascinated with these numbers, but I must
admit the number crunching this evening have been, dare I say it? fun.
Maths & stats seem a tad dry to me, most of the time, but these are some
VERY interesting numbers.

I recall something the mayor of NY said as "Sandy" approached (Bloomberg?)
"What are you most afraid of, Mr Mayor?"
"New Yorkers, they never do as they are told!"

Back to the math:
CA seems to have only gone up 300 in 24 hrs.
Lockdown ends in 2 weeks.
Based on that, I dont see CA hitting 40k cases in that time.
Thats a good thing.

What happens after that?
Do we loosen up for a week and then lockdown for another 3 weeks?
I just dont see people in the US complying with a longer lockdown.
Americans just dont DO things like this.
(NOTE: I am not wading into right or wrong, just commenting on typical
american behaviour)
What I fear is that as soon as the CA lockdown ends, the numbers will
skyrocket.

Or do we do a "cordon sanitierre" and let those out in Trump Country kill
themselves off?

Im cautiously optimistic about current CA numbers.
Im terrified about what happens when people get fed up with lockdowns.
