A "detail" about the vaccine trials that the news conveniently over looked.
The Pfizer and Moderna trials, explicitly tracked ONLY symptomatic cases.  This was a deliberate decision made when they prepared the testing protocols for multiple reasons.  It was not an oversight:*  It would take extra effort to have all of the 10's of thousands of subjects have regular testing.*  Antibodies from the vaccine might be confused in the testing with antibodies from sickness.* Lastly, after the vaccine is widely used, if there are a lot of asymptomatic cases, it doesn't matter.  Hospitals won't be over-worked.  Vaccinated people won't be sick.
Probably the vaccines will prevent asymptomatic cases, but , at this point, there is no factual evidence.  Expect that the health departments will want _everyone_ to keep wearing masks and doing the other things for a long time to come.

As I like to say, a well-debugged checklist will save your life, and
in these times of a soaring-in-a-bad-way pandemic, I found myself
talking with a family member, one especially vulnerable to COVID-19,
about the checklist routine we use to minimise risk.
