[conspire] stats question

    Stats question
    Heres one for you "experts" in stats...
    I see this happening in rapidly increasing data curves and i donr know
what
    causes it.
    Imaging a sequence like this:
    100
    150
    200
    250
    300
    250
    350
    275
    400
    300
    450
    Or one where the numbers jump by 1400
    Then the next day it jumps by 800
    Then it jumps by 1500
    then it jumps by 900.

    You get the idea.
    Theres a ping pong thing going on.

    I see it happening in numbers all the time and its always struck me as
    weird.

Any thoughts from you stats guys?
