That's a bit hard-core, but yes, poetic (albeit very, very ugly poetry),
much like when acclaimed SF/fantasy editor David Hartwell died three
years ago when a bookcase fell on him.
I had originally included here a link to Dave Hartwell's widow Kathryn
Cramer's blog post from immediately following his death, but I really
should not have read that page, as it's going to give me renewed
nightmares tonight -- and also I cannot recommend it unless you have a
more stomach for witnessing other people's grief than I do.
Seriously, don't. It's heart-rending. And far too close to home for
me.
