At a recent CABAL, there was discussion about a stove with an Internet connector.   Now I see advertisements where a mother tells alexa to pre-heat the oven.  

Actually 20  years ago, I was thinking about a close dryer that could send a message when the permanent press was ready.  It's hard to accurately predict the timing and the buzzer can't be heard two rooms away.   No I don't want a loud buzzer.
