[conspire] Halt efforts that compel Apple and other device makers to create a "backdoor" for the Government to access citizens data | We the People: Your Voice in Our Government

Regarding contacting Congress[wo]men and Senators:
It is a good thing to let them know how your feel about issues.  However they get so much input, that their staff has to tabulate it.  They weight the inputs based on how much effort you put into sending the message.

Least effective:  Sign a petition.
Better:  Go to house.gov or senate.gov.  Find the person for your home location and follow the links to send them an email.  Hint: write the text with your favorite word processor.  Then you can paste it to your congressmen and senators.

Best:  Send a paper copy via postal mail.   You can find the address at the above web sites

Best of all:  Hand write the letter that you mail.

Hmmmm,

I've trice thrice now, to sign that petition.

Each time it requires use of an email verification link to finish the process,
and each time that link received in the email gives a 404 error.
I've successfully signed petitions on that site before without problems.

Maybe they just don't want too many signatures on that one.  8-O
