[conspire] CABAL meeting tomorrow

It's a strange but mostly pleasant day: There's good news from SCOTUS
(http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/14pdf/14-556_3204.pdf[1]) and
somebody wrote and thanked me for co-authoring How to Ask Questions the
Smart Way. But, sadly, we've lost Nick Danger
(http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/26/arts/phil-austin-who-played-nick-danger-on-firesign-theater-dies-at-74.html[2]). I would account it a personal favour if we could cease this cancer thing for a while, eh? Tusen takk.
Two out of three of those things are worth celebrating. Therefore, we
will proceed with the already scheduled CABAL meeting on Saturday.
Astonishingly, there will be food. I haven't decided what to cook, yet.
[1] To those who dislike the idea of same-sex marriage, I would suggest
the simple expedient of not having one.
[2] In the next life, you're on your own, Phil. Give me immortality, or
give me death!

Subject: Thank you for sharing your experience and helping others to grow
Hi Eric and Rick,
Came across your article "How to ask questions the smart way
<http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html>", while googling for
'questions'.
That it popped up as one of the top links shows the volume of traffic that
your site generates - since that's a factor that google's search algorithms
is based upon.
Am only an ordinary user, and not part of the hacker / programming
community.
Found what you have written to be extremely interesting read, and learnt a
little more about the perspectives of experienced hackers.
Many of the principles mentioned are equally applicable in work place
setting / other forum sharing platforms too.
Think what stood out for me was hearing the unique 'voice sharing the
story' of your experiences and insights. "we value a question by what it
teaches us"
I believe it has been helpful to newbies who are seeking to learn and grow
- those who do not do research on own unfortunately will probably never see
this and learn.
Perhaps even helping to give voice to other advanced hackers who have been
generously giving of their time and effort (and face the same frustrations
too).
This email is just to say Thank You for the time and effort put into
creating and keeping this document updated over the years.
Wishing you a lovely upcoming weekend.
Best Regards,
Grace
