[conspire] Be careful about the impeding heat wave

I was planning to peddle to work either Mon or Tue.  That is until I heard
the "spare the air" announcement.  That I interpret as not being good
for outside exercise, even if the intensity / duration is moderated with
respect for the heat.

Anyone remember when Tour of CA was held in February with cold and rain?

Please take care to stay hydrated and (if possible) cool during the heat
wave that's just beginning and expected to break on Friday.

There are going to be 96 degree F (36 degrees C) high temperatures
tomorrow in the South Bay.  People have been known to be _killed_ by
heat waves like this.  (Remember, air-conditioned retail space, movie
theatres, etc. are your friend.)

Riders on the ongoing Amgen Tour of California bicycle race are going to
have an... interesting time, especially tomorrow, when Stage 2 begins
with a climb of Mt. Hamilton (4,216 feet or 1,285 metres) and ends with
an equally grueling ascent of Mt. Diablo (3,849 feet or 1,173 metres).

I've done both ascents a number of times, and they're a real bear even
on cool days.
