You've lost me right there, as he's an extremely well informed -critic-.

I'm going to put off reading the rest, as my attempts to do rational
analysis on this matter to benefit readers who perhaps have less time
seem to get repeatedly punished for my pains, and I fear loss of a lot
more time if you are going to continue in that vein.
