Of course, he also didn't even say where he is. Sometimes, it turns out
the querent is in some other state -- or continent.

'Lisa Mint LDXE'. Ah, the foibles of human memory. (Doubtless:
'Linux Mint LXDE'.)

I found a book marker for you group, and was wondering if you could give
me more information on the meeting tonite. I have just started with Linux,
and am still trying to learn my way around. I thought this group, or you
might be able to provide me with more information on how to use Linux. I
have Lisa Mint LDXE. I'm not really sure what else you would need from me
to point me in the right direction.

Thanks for any help you can provide,
Drew

Hi, Drew!

I'm a little puzzled about which Linux group you're writing to me about.
The only local Linux group I know of that meets this evening is SF-LUG,
which meets tonight 6-8 PM at Cafe Enchante, 6157 Geary at 26th Ave.,
San Francisco.

The other San Francisco Linux user group, BALUG, meets tomorrow
(Tuesday) 7 PM, at Four Seas Restaurant, 731 Grant St. nr. Sacramento
St., Chinatown, San Francisco.

My own Linux user group in suburban Menlo Park, CABAL, next meets on
Saturday, April 28, 4pm - midnight at my and my wife's house, 1105
Altschul Ave. at Gordon Ave., Menlo Park.

At any of those events, you can get conversation and advice. At CABAL
specifically, you can get in-person help with Linux and your computer
(if you bring it), and we always maintain a library of current Linux and
BSD media to use for installations.

CABAL, SF-LUG, and BALUG also all have public e-mail discussion mailing
lists that I recommend as places to get help and information.
