Droll story in which the Brooklyn Museum commissions the maker of 'Sita
Signs the Blues' to create a set of 11 iconic Vishnu avatars for an
exhibit, pays her a small honorarium for the work, agrees to Creative
Commons BY-SA copyleft licensing, and then fails to comprehend what they
agreed to and keeps pursuing her, attempting to get a variety of strange
and basically pointless legal commitments.
Sometimes, when a business behaves in a clueless and thuggish manner, it
turns out to be because they really don't know what they're doing and
nobody's paying attention.
