[conspire] cd burning giving slight errors

Hi All,

Both of the CD-burners on my machine are writing
stuff which is slightly different to what I asked: a few
bytes here and there have the wrong values after the
burn (compared using "cmp -l"). There's no errors from
the burning.

Any ideas what could cause this?
The operating system is Ubuntu 11.04 (natty).
I've written CDs on this machine before using k3b
and they verified OK, and it seems strange that both
burners would start to fail at the same time.

Thanks,
Peter.
