[conspire] New Firewall question

For a long time, at my home, I have used a PacBell (aka AT&T) DSL modem along with a Linksys firewall/router.  It seemed to provide adequate protection.

Recently I was convinced to switch to U-verse.  The old equipment has been replaced by a new Internet Gateway, which has 4-port router and firewall built in.  Does anyone have any ideas of how robust the firewall is?  Should I be looking for an additional firewall?
