Excellent point.  I keep hearing "Oh, I didn't read that message because
it landed in my spambox", and it seems likely that la-la-la-I-can't-hear-you
is a leading reason why people end up claiming that they "never
received" renewal notices.

Me, I simply take care to remain registered several _years_ away from
domain expiration, and think it's insane to risk getting close.
