In case it helps, I catalogue various types of remote-app-imaging
technologies at "VNC and Similar" on

Like many of such pages in my knowledgebase, it probably needs (1)
redaction to clean it up, and (2) updating, especially as to news about
FreeNX implementations.  However, it might still be useful.
