Lazy is fine - you don't have to be exact. On the other hand you don't
want to undercommit because then you have to run the risk of not
having enough.

When Hector was at CABAL he had a 300 (I think) drive and I didn't
really see how long the formatting was really going to take but it
would likely take a whole hell of a long time to fsck it. That maybe a
disadvantage of using such a large partition, when you can do smaller
partitions and fsck them at different intervals.
