[conspire] vmware and mepis 6.5

Now that I've got free vmware player , which approach should I take next to get guests , I don't see a deb for free server ?
saw a pnp os option in the bios of my 64x2 , by the way.
Hoped 6.5 would finish shutting off my A system but nothing post simply MEPIS 6.0 DVD does that. Hope I stop needing to rebuild this box as its 4 times in a few months under 6.0 . Updating doesn't help but does mess up permissions for k3b , which seems to work nicer in 6.5 , as I use the now nicer k3b every day its worth it for me.
Seem like Warren Woodford didn't want to work very hard:  6.5 still has
kernel 2.6.15, KDE 3.5.3, and so on.  Not even worth the
