Exactly. That is precisely why NNTP newsgroups rule, in the areas where
SMTP mailing lists suck. ;->

(I should hasten to add that I'd absolutely have left NNTP newsreader
access completely open, but for the spam problem. I'm still trying to
think of a better way to solve the problem that's within my small coding
talents and available time budget.)
