Dear subscribers:

In 2007-8, Andrew B. Fife, who then worked at Untangle, asked if I would
host an announcements mailing list for the Installfests for Schools he had
begun to operate in conjunction with the Alameda County Computer
Resource Center.  Those events ran through May of 2008, and the ceased.
Andrew ceased being involved, and this mailing list persisted but has
had no traffic since then, and also Andrew stopped working at Untangle
(hence, as taken no part in mailing list administration).

With that background:  I will soon be retiring and removing this mailing
list (unless someone has a compelling use for it and volunteers to replace
Andrew as listadmin).   I just wanted to mention that decision to
existing subscribers so they are not surprised.
